New 'television' service launches for landlords

ADVERTORIAL

Monday 18th June 2012

A new online ‘TV channel’ is launching this week, aimed at helping landlords seeking information and advice.

Behind the move is Total Landlord Insurance, which aims to build a community of experts and a series of interactive live web TV shows to drive debate and deliver the expert advice and guidance landlords need when letting out their property.

In the first broadcast, Eddie Hooker, who is CEO both of Total Landlord Insurance and the Mydeposits tenancy protection scheme, and Marie Parris, managing director of George Ellis Property Services and author of forthcoming book ‘The Simplified Guide to Letting & Managing Your Own Property’, will discuss the greatest problems that tenants and landlords face.

Hooker said that a recent survey undertaken by Total Landlord Insurance had thrown up some ‘staggering’ results. He said: “There are an astonishing number of landlords who, due to a lack of knowledge, are unwittingly opening themselves to risk.

“We have found that many landlords find it hard to keep up with the changes in landlord and tenancy rights, which seem to be constantly evolving, and many don’t know what to do when things don’t run smoothly.

“We hope that Letyourproperty.tv will give answers to any questions landlords may have regarding letting their property, whether they are already doing so or looking for advice on how to get started.”
