Interview of Steve Cox

Steve Cox - Business Account Manager

Alan Boswell Group’s Steve Cox tells us a bit more about himself, and why the company’s landlord insurance is market-leading.

Tell us a bit about you and your career.

I started working for the company when I left school, back in 1991! I’ve worked in a variety of departments, from claims and personal lines to commercial, so I have a broad understanding of people’s insurance needs. Since 2001, I’ve been with the Property Owners team and I specialise in arranging insurance for portfolio landlords (those with a large number of properties), ensuring they have the right cover.

I love providing the property owners with the peace of mind that comes with having the right insurance.

How is Alan Boswell Group different?

In lots of ways!

For one thing, we have lots of experience working with landlords because we’ve been providing insurance for more than 35 years. In that time, we’ve worked with all types of landlords, from those just starting out, to those with multimillion pound portfolios, helping them to find the right protection. We’ll work with you to build a picture of your situation and provide advice accordingly.

While our team might have lots of expertise, they’re friendly and focused on customer service. If you don’t believe me, check out our Feefo reviews – we’re proud to have been named Gold-Trusted Merchant for our consistently high scores.

Plus, we don’t just provide landlord buildings and contents. We can provide a wide range of add-ons, including rent guarantee insurance, landlord legal expenses and excess protection cover – plus all the more traditional insurances such as car, home, and all types of business insurance. We also have an in-house claims team, which will help you get back on track if the worst happens.

Do you have any promotions?

We do. Our Price Beater Guarantee will beat the price of your existing premiums (subject to terms). Just visit our Price Beater page to find out more.

What’s the biggest challenge facing the property industry at the moment?

We’re certainly hearing concerns about changes to taxation and legislation, which make it harder for landlords to manage their outgoings.
