Interview of Raj Dhillon
Written by the Landlord Today team
Raj Dhillon, Director of Remax Key Properties West Kensington

Who are you?
I am Director of Remax Key Properties, West Kensington.

How long have you been trading?

I’ve worked in property since graduating in 2003. Initially, my focus was the international real estate market; mainly development launches in the UAE and sourcing prime real estate in India. I opened Remax Key Properties, West Kensington in 2014 and we have built a great team.

Why are you going into the auction market?
Everything is moving online so we need to innovate. The Remax brand is all about innovation so we see this as a good opportunity to do just that.

Where do you see the property market moving in the next 5 years?
I believe it’s always hard to give a 5 year forecast in any industry due to the fast pace of changing technology and regulation. I do believe if you compare it to the previous 5 years the market will be steadier; Brexit, interest rates and politics will have an effect but, as a Londoner, I am confident that inward investment will always remain relatively strong.

What advice would you give to Landlords or property investors in today’s market?

Experienced investors will tell you that this a great time to buy as there are deals to be done; sellers are more inclined to accept an offer as they understand that there has been a certain shift in the market in terms of the price. Although there have been many changes recently, the good news is that the demand for rental properties is still as high as ever and continues to outstrip supply. We supply a monthly report for investors into the local area to keep in touch and up to date with new instructions.
