Does The UK Adviser benefit tenants, too?
Yes. We encourage tenants to speak to there landlords and housing associations to see if it is possible for them to purchase their property they currently let. We also advise them on government schemes and how to save for a deposit.
Why is it important for tenants to have rental payments contribute towards their credit score?
———————————————————————-
Building a good credit rating will be important for many tenants as most mortgage lenders look at your score when assessing a Mortgage application. If you have a low credit rating, the tenant may find it harder to be granted a mortgage.
What is the most satisfying part of your job?
Customer satisfaction. Being given a problem to solve from a client and being able to solve that problem and getting your client their dream home, being able to save them money. What ever the client has asked me for and being able to deliver that is the most satisfying part of my job. A happy client is also my aim.
What do you see as the biggest challenge facing landlords at the moment?
The biggest challenge is tenants losing their jobs to COVID-19. This will have a big impact on landlords. It is a very strange world now, and it is very unpredictable. Another problem I can see facing landlords are tenants will want houses instead of flats due to COVID-19. Outside space will be a must, Home offices too.
What is your property prediction for the remainder of 2020?
I can see a demand for houses rather than flats, due to tenants wanting more outdoor space. During lockdown tenants have been re-evaluating what their must-haves are, and tenants are craving a home with its own outside space. Home offices are also on tenants wish list when looking at a potential property.
