Managing Director of Henry Adams Lettings and Henry Adams Holiday Cottages.

What is Henry Adams?

A multi-discipline market leading Property Company in West Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire.

How do you help landlords and property investors?

By consistently looking after their interests year in year out through good times and the more tricky ones.

What services do you provide?

Sales, Lettings, Holiday Cottages, Land, New Homes, Fine Art Auctioneers, Agricultural and Professional Services.

Does Henry Adams benefit tenants too?

You cannot look after your landlords interests without providing their tenants with exceptional service and that is what our teams strive to do every day.

Why is it important for tenants to have rental payments contribute towards their credit score?

We partnered with CreditLadder a few years ago recognising that many tenants were missing out on improving their credit scores by paying their rent on time every month. Some tenants really appreciate this service although some are worried about their data being shared – hopefully a happy medium can enter the marketplace at some point.

What is your greatest achievement in your current role and what made it so special?

It might sound a bit cheesy but putting together an exceptionally dedicated and loyal team where we all genuinely share common goals for ourselves and our clients.

What is the most satisfying part of your job?

Having loyal clients many of whom have worked with me and indeed followed me around for 20 years!  The trust that builds over time seems rare in business and very special in our sector.

What do you see as the biggest challenge facing landlords at the moment?

The risk to rent payments due to the current crisis combined with the full tax changes taking effect.

What is your property prediction for the remainder of 2020?

All predictions will be wrong!  On a serious note though for the lettings sector investors seem to be returning perhaps due to stock market volatility and low interest rates.  Previous recessions have created very strong tenant demand and at the moment the signs are there that this will be the case again. UK Staycations also seem set to boom when travel restrictions are eased – even with Social Distancing remaining.
