The Bournemouth & Poole Landlord Exhibition to take place tomorrow

The 10th annual Bournemouth and Poole Landlord Exhibition will take place tomorrow (Wednesday).

The event, which is being organised in conjunction with both Bournemouth Borough Council and Borough of Poole Council, will be held at the Bournemouth International Centre, from 10am until 6pm.

Show organisers predict that more than 550 buy-to-let landlords from across Dorset will attend the exhibition.

Working alongside Seventa Events, Bournemouth and Poole councils will bring together a team of rental market experts, including Ward Goodman, a chartered accountancy and financial services business who will give advice on changing tax relief laws.

Smart Home Rentals, holiday and professional accommodation specialists, will also provide insights into the local market and advice on landlord responsibilities.

These seminars aim to provide landlords with the tools they need to take full advantage of the area's private rented sector.

Cllr Robert Lawton, Bournemouth cabinet member for housing, said: “We are pleased to be supporting this event which is now in its tenth year. It will provide our local landlords with much sought-after advice on market and investment opportunities, plus how to become a landlord and the responsibilities involved. It will also include great tips on financial management and the legal issues that our landlords may face.”

Cllr Karen Rampton, cabinet portfolio holder for Housing and Community Services, Borough of Poole, added: “It’s great to be involved in this event once again. This event will increase its reach and participation, enabling us to support the huge number of landlords who have properties in Bournemouth and Poole.”
