List your properties on student property portal for free

But-to-let landlords are being invited to post their property advertisements for free on FreshRent, the student accommodation search website.

FreshRent, which was purchased by the Student Smart Group last year for an undisclosed sum, has undergone a huge design revamp and spent in the region of £125,000 on bespoke features and algorithms to improve the website.

FreshRent’s new features include the ability to automatically search by current location; the ability to book physical viewings through the site; and a handy utility bill estimation tool for properties which do not include bills as standard.

Private landlords and letting agents wishing to list properties on the site can now choose their own pricing, after the subscription model was revoked allowing agencies to set their own prices, and listing on the site is free.

With properties in over 20 University Cities in the UK and over 70% of purpose-built accommodation providers on board providing over 50,000 rooms to choose from, FreshRent has one of the largest online registers of student accommodation in the UK.

Director Henry Debenham said: “Our business model is completely different to anything out there; we allow agents and private landlords to set their own pricing and have invested heavily in algorithms that monitor the displayed properties on the site.”

Co-director and former University of Lincoln student, Matthew Meekins, commented: “We’ve added some really exciting features for users, with lots more to come over the next few months, including details leads tracking and bespoke landlord dashboards.”
