Landlords and agents invited to have their say on proposed licensing scheme

Private landlords and letting agents in Wisbech, a market town in Fenland, Cambridgeshire, are being invited to offer their views this week on plans to introduce a new selective licensing scheme in the local area.

Fenland District Council is seeking the opinions of landlords and agents in the area as part of its consultation aimed at improving standards in the town’s private rented sector.

The authority believes that a new licensing scheme could help tackle poor housing conditions and management, reduce crime and anti-social behaviour, and improve the quality of life for both tenants and the wider community.

Agents are being invited to have their say between 4pm and 5.30pm, and landlords from between 6pm and 7.30pm.
