Early bird tickets now on sale for RLA’s next Future Renting Conference

Early bird tickets are now on sale for the Residential Landlords Association’s (RLA) next Future Renting Conference in Cardiff.

The one-day conference, which will be held at Jury’s Inn, on November 29, will follow on from the recent successful event in London, which took place last month.

This will be the second conference to be held by the association in Wales this year, and it is open to anyone with an interest in private rented housing, from landlords with just one property, to those with larger portfolios, letting agency owners, Assembly Members, local authority councillors, journalists, and housing charities.

The event should offer landlords a valuable insight into the future of the private rented sector in Wales, with a political heavyweight set to be announced as the keynote speaker.

Expert speakers will address delegates on issues including Rent Smart Wales, the Wales fee ban, Welsh market insights and, of course, tax, with the event hosted by Lucy Owen of BBC Wales.

Expert lawyer Dr David Smith will be among those talking on the day, explaining the traps and pitfalls to avoid, with welfare reform, tax and energy efficiency changes set to have a huge impact on the sector.

The RLA’s vice-chair and director for Wales, Douglas Haig, who will also be speaking at the event, said: “More than 200 landlords attended last year’s conference, with feedback overwhelmingly positive.

“The legislative landscape is ever-changing, and it is vital that all residential landlords keep themselves up-to-date, armed with the knowledge they need to continue to run successful businesses in the PRS of the future.”

Early bird tickets start from just £30 for RLA members and £35 for non-members and are available to buy by clicking here.
