Tenant deposit protection scheme, TDS, will be hosting a half-day workshop in London in February, designed to give landlords and property professionals training in tenancy deposit protection and disputes.
Part of TDS Academy’s national programme of workshops, the Adjudication Workshop will take place on Wednesday 13th February.
Landlords, agents and property managers that attend will take on the role of adjudicators in a range of scenarios and case studies giving an insight into the detail that adjudicators consider when reviewing a tenancy deposit dispute.
They will also be encouraged to share their own experiences, gaining knowledge from other professionals across the sector, and qualify for three hours of continued professional development, receiving a TDS certificate.
The adjudication workshop will be hosted by Michael Morgan, director of dispute resolution at TDS.
He said: “As well as protecting tenancy deposits, TDS is committed to providing education and guidance, and improving standards in the private rented sector.
“These courses will help landlords and agents in London to provide a higher quality service to their tenants and ensure fair deposit outcomes.
“Many landlords and letting agents still make errors at the beginning of tenancies that have a knock-on effect when it comes to recouping rent arrears or damage deductions at the end of the lease agreement. These can be easily avoided, and our courses aim to educate attendees on these pitfalls and how best to prevent them.”
