SES awarded Mustard Wharf Build to Rent contract

SES Engineering Services has been appointed to provide mechanical, electrical and plumbing design and installation services on the Mustard Wharf Build to Rent (BTR) site in Leeds, which was acquired by developer Legal and General from U+I in partnership with CTP in 2017.

The BTR scheme, which is currently under construction, will feature 247 homes, 8,640 sq ft of commercial and amenity space, along with commercial and amenity space for offices, restaurants, and other leisure facilities.

Located at Granary Wharf, an established riverside location in the Holbeck area of the city, the Mustard Wharf development by Legal & General is due for completion in Q4 2020.

Steve Joyce, the SES’ business director for North and Scotland, commented: “SES is well-versed in delivering major residential schemes of this calibre, including both student and build to rent accommodation across Yorkshire and elsewhere in the UK.

“I believe it is this experience that makes us best placed to work hand in hand with Sir Robert McAlpine and the wider design team on the design and construction of Mustard Wharf.

“We pride ourselves on creating energy conscious spaces and delivering innovative building services design and installations that as a minimum, we match but more often exceed, client expectations.”
