There has been a sharp rise in the number of people living in private rental homes, owed in part to a lack of new stock to buy, according to haart
The independent estate agency reports that pent up demand has led to 28 buyers chasing every instruction across London, and 12 across England and Wales, and this has resulted in greater demand for private rental homes.
The number of tenants registering with haart increased by more than 30% on the year in London, the latest data shows.

What a load of twaddle haart talk.
There are plenty of properties available to buy in the SE.
The issue is that they are not affordable to those that might wish to buy.
Consequently these aspirant purchasers have little alternative than to be tenants if they insist on living in the most expensive part of the UK.
There is no housing shortage at all.
There are lots of affordable properties in cheap areas but few want to live there.
There are lots of expensive properties for sale in the SE high demand areas.
One thing there is NOT a shortage of is properties for sale!!
This is basic stuff that haart should know.
