Revised guidance from the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy outlines how landlords and other applicants can handle Green Homes Grant installations in a Covid-safe way.
Landlords and other property owners can still apply for grants and, as with other maintenance and repair work, installers are allowed to enter homes providing they adhere to Covid-safe guidelines.
The guidance pages for landlords, owners and tradespeople have been updated on the main government website and you can see them here.
Meanwhile the National Residential Landlords Association is continuing to encourage members to take advantage of the grants scheme while it is still available.
Initially announced over the summer, grants of up to £5,000 are available for private landlords to upgrade their properties in England.
Grants will be issued as vouchers, cover up to two-thirds of costs, and are available for specific measures.
The NRLA has a guide to accessing the grants - you can see the guide here - while there’s also a webinar coming up on this issue on December 9, and association landlords can register here.
