Landlords can list their properties for free - but you must be quick

Landlords with London properties have a short-term opportunity to list and let them for free - but they’ll have to be quick as the deal finishes at the end of December.

The offer comes from Target Location, which says any landlord instructing the firm this month will benefit from a free tenant find service which usually costs £2,000.

Target Location also does not charge renewal fees if the tenant stays beyond the initial contract, as standard.

The tenant find package includes professional photography, videos, virtual tours and floor plans, as well as advertising of the landlord's property on Rightmove, Zoopla and OnTheMarket and other platforms.

The agency’s additional ‘Christmas gifts’ for landlords this month includes free tenancy contracts, referencing from a leading UK referencing provider and tenant deposit registration.

"It’s been a ridiculously tough year, that's why we want to spread some cheer this Christmas and help landlords occupy their properties for free" says Target Location director Ben Couper.

"With landlords able to save thousands of pounds in fees with a free letting package, some of the savings could even be passed on to tenants. It has been a difficult year for everyone and many landlords will have been feeling the effects of the pandemic with higher rent arrears and increased financial uncertainty" he adds.

Target Location was founded by Couper and Edward Gosling after they built up 10 years of industry experience managing property portfolios for multiple companies.

“We want to help stimulate the property economy by getting more transactions happening and by employing more and more people to help facilitate the growing demand we are creating. As we say goodbye to a challenging 12 months, it's time for landlords to start 2021 with a smile" Couper concludes.

Normally £2k for tenant find!? Surely that's wrong.

I wouldn't pay anything like that, but then I don't own property in London

Is this a news article or an advert from Target Location? I would suggest the latter. Landlord Today: please clearly indicate adverts as such, not disguise them as news articles.

Its rubbish. £2k for a tenant find? Well if you enter into anything with this lot then prepare for high fees.
