Alternative online search platforms prove popular with agents

Given that online property portals, dominated by a handful of websites, are by far the most popular home search method, it is perhaps unsurprising that an increasing number of letting agents are spending significantly more money on maintaining an online presence that goes beyond simply listing properties owned by buy-to-let landlords on their own website.

Rightmove and Zoopla are undoubtedly the largest property websites in the country, while OnTheMarket continues to challenge what they previously described as the ‘duopoly’ of the two big property portals.

But there are other property websites, including some specialist ones, providing specialist criteria and alternative search facilities that your agents - those of you that use one - will consider listing properties with, and those emerging sites appear to include OneDome.com and Nethouseprices.com, both of which are owned by OneDome Group.

Several of the UK's major estate agencies are now listing properties on the OneDome Group's websites, it has been revealed, including large firms like Andrews Property Group, Arun Estates, Martyn Gerrard, Robinson Michael & Jackson, Winkworth, as well Dreamview Estates and At Home Estate & Letting Agency. They join over 2,000 branches that have signed up to list with OneDome over last few months.

Babek Ismayil, founder and CEO of OneDome, said: “We are delighted of working with some of the best agents in the country and continue fulfilling our promise to agents of driving portal costs down while generating a significant volume of leads. We are humbled by the positive response we have seen from the industry.”
