Holiday let landlord could win £10,000 cash

A holiday lettings agency is offering £10,000 to the owner of what it declares to be Britain’s Best Holiday Let.

Sykes Holiday Cottages says the overall winning entry will receive the £10,000 cash with further cash prizes and free consultancy and advice from the firm.

As well as Britain’s Best Holiday Let, other categories include Best Renovation, Best Quirky Holiday Let, Best Sustainable Holiday Let, Best Interior Design and Best Property With a View.

The competition will be judged by Sykes’ Chief Executive Officer Graham Donoghue, alongside The Times’ Deputy Property & Personal Finance Editor Carol Lewis and The Holiday Let Success podcaster Elaine Watt.  

Donoghue says: “We’ve launched these awards to recognise and reward the hard work of holiday let owners across the country. Wherever you may be based and whatever the property, we want to hear from you.

“More and more travellers are opting for staycations over holidays on the continent, particularly while foreign travel remains so uncertain. We’ve seen a real boost in holiday home owners coming to us as a result.”
