A council is notifying its landlords with tenants on housing benefit that it is switching its payment schedule from paper to online.

From June 1 Eastleigh council will no longer be sending payment schedules to landlords by post or email.

Instead, they are being asked to register for the online portal where they can view their schedules, next payment amounts and individual tenants’ entitlement details.

Claimants can also use the online portal if they register for a MyEastleigh account and add Housing Benefits as a service.

This allows them to see all aspects of their claim, from the details the council holds about them, to their next payment amount.
