Expanded legal services for landlords prompt group rebrand

Eviction and housing law specialist Landlord Action has rebranded to support its expansion into a wider range of legal services.

There’s a new website and logo and Paul Sowerbutts, a qualified solicitor with 20 years’ extensive knowledge of housing within the private and social sectors, has joined the team as head of legal affairs.

He will oversee the transformation of the business as it moves towards handling more complex legal cases and says: “This fantastic new rebrand is the next step in Landlord Action’s move towards offering a one-stop shop for all of a landlord's legal services."

Landlord Action joined Hamilton Fraser in 2017, enabling the group to offer services to landlords covering insurance, deposit protection, safeguarding against poor service by an agent and helping landlords get their property back in the event of non-payment of rent or other tenancy issues.

“Supporting landlords in stressful times is what we do” says Paul Shamplina, founder of Landlord Action and chief commercial officer at Hamilton Fraser.

“Our business has evolved, and our team has grown to deal with the effects of the pandemic and changes in the market” he continues.

“We will continue to manage the rise in possessions, whilst also broadening our focus to encompass the more complex legal issues facing landlords in today’s market, given the shift of power in the tenant’s favour.

“Going forward, our services will become more and more important to landlords as the economy gradually unlocks following a tough winter.

“Now was the right time for change as we celebrate the transformation of Landlord Action over the years and the work we are doing in challenging times. The refreshed branding is a fitting reflection of where the company is at in 2022.”
