A council is seeking views on proposed additional regulations for HMOs in the Tyisha and Glanymor areas of Llanelli.

Residents, landlords, tenants and those with a connection to the two areas are invited have their say on a potential Additional Licensing Scheme for larger private rental properties.

The Carmarthenshire council consultation asks for opinions on the need for a scheme, licence conditions, associated costs and the potential impacts and benefits. Responses will help to shape the Additional Licensing Scheme for the area.

A spokesperson says: “We want landlords, residents and anyone with an interest in Tyisha and Glanymor to help us shape an Additional Licensing Scheme by telling us of any previous issues encountered with HMOs, what measures could be included to benefit residents and landlords and what potential impact this Scheme could have.”
