Two new products from fledgling PropTech providers are targeting landlords.

RoomApp is a property and tenancy management app founded by a landlord, Camarlo Richards, which claims to simplify compliance, action repair requests and conduct risk assessments. It says records of conversations and transactions are securely stored but easily accessible to those who need them, preventing rogue landlords from defrauding the system

Meanwhile Fiixit is a new online platform which also targets self-managing landlords and is also the brainchild of a landlord – Tajinder Sohal.

Tenants raise a repair ticket on Fiixit, after which landlords choose whether to handle the repair personally or assign the job to a tradesperson. A date and time for the job is then agreed and added in Fiixit, everyone is notified, and calendars are updated. Finally every action taken on a ticket is recorded in the landlord, tenants and tradespersons dashboard, with room for additional messages.
