A lettings agency will be opening its doors tomorrow afternoon to welcome landlords across the North East to learn more about the rental market.

The event, at Xenia Lettings’ Sunderland branch, will give landlords the chance to meet Antonia Askew, its branch manager who has over 18 years of expertise in lettings and property management.

The open day will also provide an opportunity to explore Xenia Lettings’ landlord services, including in-person or virtual property viewings, right-to-rent check, arrears management, specialist marketing, comprehensive inventory checks and repair and maintenance management through Fixflo.

As a nationwide agency, Xenia Lettings claims it combines local expertise with national reach.

In Sunderland over the past two years average house prices rose 2.3% to £150,000 from November 2023 to November 2024, and the average monthly private rent also rose to £650 in December 2024, an 8.9% increase from £597 in December 2023.

As of November 22 2024, 2,596 properties in Sunderland had been sold subject to contract, , a 12.8% increase from 2,302 properties during the same period in 2023.

The agency suggests that these trends highlight a robust and growing property market in Sunderland, presenting valuable opportunities for current and prospective landlords.
