Arto Property Maintenance is marketing its first year in business, describing it as a “roaring success.”

The Birmingham-based firm describes itself as a one-stop shop for developers and landlords.

It was launched in March 2024 by Sam Cole, who had previously worked as head of maintenance for a Birmingham development and investment group before branching out on his own.

The new business already has an impressive client roster, with names like Lomond Group and John Shepherd, and other clients include James Laurence estate agents, Martin & Co, John Truslove Chartered Surveyors & Valuers, Rent Life, Altido, Joivy, AP Morgan and Hexagon Commercial.

The business has grown much faster and more prosperously than initially anticipated, and is on track for turnover of £500,000 in its first 12 months of trading.

Cole said: “We have already covered more than 1,600 jobs.

“Managing contactors is often the least enjoyable and most challenging part of asset management and so we aim to take the pain out of property management for our clients.

“We aren’t doing anything particularly clever and have no reliance on a fancy tech stack. We are simply fulfilling a large market requirement on an efficient and cost-effective basis.

“We are a one stop shop for property managers and large property owners, saving time dealing with a variety of sub-contractors. Our target customers are large property managing agents and estate agents, large private landlords/housing associations and local authorities.”

Arto Property Maintenance offers routine maintenance, emergency repairs and bespoke maintenance plans for a wide range of services including commercial and residential cleaning, decorating, and electrical services.

It also offers compliance documentation and certification, including EPCs and EICRs, plumbing, window and door replacement, locksmith services, grounds maintenance and landscaping and refurbishment projects and main construction works.

Cole added: “Above all, we offer local expertise, cost effective solutions, time saving convenience and, above all, peace of mind.”
