Landlords are being invited to a free event o hear about the benefits of working with Reading council in Berkshire.

The Landlord Information evening on Wednesday October 29 is being hosted by the Council’s Rent Guarantee Scheme, in partnership with the National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA).

Speakers include NRLA regional engagement executive James Gladwin who will be speaking about the upcoming Renters Rights Bill and the future of the private rented sector.

There will also be a session on the key issue of how to prevent and tackle damp and mould, led by Michael Prior from Safeguard Europe.

A council spokesperson says: “We’re working on our own programme of building affordable new homes for residents, but just as important is taking a leading role in ensuring that there are not only opportunities for residents in the private rental sector, but that we help drive standards up in this area to provide the high quality housing that everyone deserves.

“Our Landlord Information Evening is a great way to ensure those with properties to rent in Reading can learn about our Rent Guarantee Scheme and the benefits it offers, as well as all the valuable help and support that our other Council teams can offer to help them manage their properties better for tenants, so that everyone wins. We look forward to meeting as many landlords as possible on 29 October”.

The Landlord Information Evening on 29 October will open at 6pm with presentations starting at 6.30pm. All landlords are welcome. To book a place please use this link, email [email protected] or call 0118 937 2233.
