A firm that works with local authorities says it’s in urgent need of private rental units to help councils meet their housing obligations.

Property management firm Elliot Leigh works with councils and says 11 of its London clients are experiencing “exceptionally high demand” for three bedroom properties.

They are the councils in Brent, Barnet, Harrow, Enfield, Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Waltham Forest, Newham, Haringey, Barking and Dagenham, and Havering.

Elliot Leigh says: “Due to an urgent shortage of suitable family accommodation in these boroughs, we are actively looking to secure additional properties and are prepared to proceed immediately with the right homes.”

The management firm says that because of this high demand it is offering:

  • Immediate lease agreements of two to five years;
  • High guaranteed rents paid whether occupied or not;
  • No voids, no arrears, no tenant management;
  • 24/7 management and minor maintenance covered.

And in appeal to landlords it says: “If you own a three bedroom property in one of these areas and are reviewing your options under the new rental landscape, this is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term, stress-free income at strong rates.”
