The law of unintended consequences. Something this government has no concept of.

The law of unintended consequences at play as usual. Short term policy making with no stress testing. Bunch of clowns.

They are always bending their own rules when it comes to immigration. Local nursery ordered to take in children of asylum seekers who are living rent free in the local Travel Lodge. When told they can't because of ratios they were told to ignore them and just do it. So either the rules were just bureaucracy designed to make it more expensive and thus harder to make a living, or they are putting everyone's kids in jeopardy?

What? Firstly, the genuine people with MHI are often drowned out by the many more who think having a bad day is a MHI. This mental health epidemic is manufactured by pharma to sell drugs and government in order to control the weak majority. I run 42 HMOs and have seen it all. You want to know why MH is an issue in this sector? DRUGS. Plain and simple. I will tell you from first hand experience that every single person I have identified as vulnerable drinks too much and suffers from drug induced psychosis. For them a minor setback becomes a crisis. The sad thing as i say is their noise drowns out those with real MHI.

What absolute rubbish. The poorest quality homes in my town are those owned and run by the council. The contradiction of s24 and the need to improve homes. Anyway where is the actual evidence? Who bases policy on a small sample of probably loaded questions that encourage tenants to give a negative response. How about going around to those peoples houses and actually seeing for themselves. They're all ignorant clowns.

Clowns. The same people who say refugees are welcome and then wonder why there is a shortage of property.

So why don't activists petition utility companies and supermarkets? I expect the average family spends more on food a month than rent in my area. Why pick on the poor landlord? Nobody would consider a ban on ASDA increasing its food prices, would they.

I still don't get these rate increases. Usually this measure is used to cool an overheating economy funded by credit. Right now we have galloping inflation as a result of government policies around the world. Fundamentally the printing of £450 billion pounds to pay healthy people to sit at home for 2 years, by guess who? The B of E. So people can't afford food or energy but they decide to help by increasing the cost of mortgages. Honestly you couldn't make it up.

Crazy. How can a 300 year old cottage be compared to a 10 year old house?

Spot on. Of course the politicians know this but simply don't care. They think those that should be in the social housing sector but are in the PRS will vote for them. Think again.

Perhaps not allowing our population to grow by 10 million in such a short space of time is the real issue. The illegals crossing from France alone this year are the size of a small town the size of Burnham or Daventry or Bromsgrove. Then they suddenly buy up 1000's of housing stock to put Afghans in but no, it's the fault of the PRS. I'd estimate at least 60% of my tenants are from the EU alone. We'll done Blair.

So the less well off and young have bourn the brunt of the pandemic? They got furlough, increased universal credit pay outs and no evictions whilst landlords got no help at all. What planet is this clown on?

The whole climate thing is a fraud. In 1989 the scaremongering was that by 2000 some countries would be under water. Can anyone name one? Now they're at it again. Meanwhile China continues to build coal fired power stations at a greater rate than the rest of the world combined.

Honest to god you couldn't make this up. Why don't they spend the 100k on buying a house somewhere and provide a home for someone?

She's correct. I mean how can the HMO market be saturated when every town is a market in it's own right and unique to it? We manage about 100 rooms and they are 100% occupied for the first time. I've run out of rooms to meet the demand.

I'd calculate that i get 8 enquiries from eastern Europeans to just 2 from British out of 10 enquiries. These people are not looking to buy and based on their low skill, low wage through employment agencies, never will.

One things for sure. All the hoops law abiding agents and LLs have had to go through won't affect the rogue LLs because they ignore it. So we all pay because of the crooks.

Look the Conservatives bought votes with the sell off of council housing under Thatcher. They realise that as the majority of their current/future voters are no longer homeowners they had to do something to buy off the next generation. Generation rent. I guess the alternative is Corbyn which would be even worse. Fair to say none of them give a fig about tenants, landlords or agents. Just themselves.

Private LL's and tenants deserve each other most of the time. Being a 'soft touch' has cost him more than having it properly managed by an agent who would have dealt with it properly from the beginning, including not letting to her in the first place.

Disgraceful legislation which is an admission of failure by the government. The BA isnt fit for purpose. Most illegals are living in flats above restaurants and fast food outlets and never step near a LL or agent. All they have to do is raid every single one. They'd discover several hundred thousand immediately.
