this government has completely lost its way...it is showing its prejudice towards landlords who are doing well, the HMO licencing scheme, the stamp duty, its all a show of we dont care about you doing well we want to take your money...they simply cannot justify stamp duty it is a ridiculous tax and should be abolished...i am about to purchase another property, stamp duty is 73,000 pounds...that is ludicrous and will take 10 years plus to recover from the rental...

this is just getting silly, why don't we introduce a new rule that the tenant can use your house trash it abuse it put wet clothes on radiators, keep all the windows closed and cause nothing but damp, never clean it and then we will pay them for the privilege of ruining our homes...its just getting totally ridiculous...sub standard homes is total rubbish. damp is mostly caused by how people use a home and never clean the wet up so it becomes damp..I have lived in my home with damp and I have never been ill, I cleaned it up mostly but some of it hid behind the wardrobe, oh heavens forbid can I not pay my mortgage company for that...but in rented accommodation they become life threatening and it means they dont have to pay, its a complete and utter joke, this country is a complete and utter joke...how can we treat legitimate landlords like this...

its a very odd place that we currently live in, in one breath the Government wants SME's to do well and they talk about investments here and there, then they give money to the their old school networks, those connected with Universities which have a dismal record of success, they then do everything they can to destroy the Buy to let market place, A market where the normal people can actually make a difference to their lives and to others. so it would appear that they only actually want their own kind, those who are in their sphere of influence to do well...i truly never felt this until now after 30 years of being in business. I may for the very first time not vote Conservative ever again, i cancelled my membership last year because of the Landlord changes and this ruling just adds to my determination to never support them again. they have completely lost the way...
