I’m not sure the Taxpayers Alliance should really be discussing funding issues when they are one of the least transparent think tanks in the UK.

When you say ‘upgraded’, do you mean ‘repaired’?

Buying houses and getting the poor to pay your mortgage is not a business.

I think the problem will lie with those FECKLESS landlords who have over leveraged in the hope of making profit without having a sense of prudence. Instead of purchasing that extra property, they should have anticipated that something like Covid may occur and kept that money to save for a rainy day. Too many feckless landlords are overextending themselves and when they go bankrupt, the taxpayers will have to pay to feed them and house them. Feckless, feckless, feckless.

You have confused me somewhat with your previous posts. In one, you claimed you weren’t making a profit. In another, you claimed that your properties were profitable. Which is it?

As for being thick, I have 2 degrees, a masters and speak 5 languages. I can make a point without resorting to using the work ‘feckless’ in every other paragraph. I simply don’t like people who take advantage of others. I have savings, if somebody cannot make a rent payment, for a valid reason, I have the funds to cover it. You clearly took on too much, too soon and you appear to be a little feckless. The sooner your sell up and stop giving us all a bad name, the better.

Do you have a year’s worth of savings? Do you have any idea how long you would have to save, what with diminishing salaries and increasing prices on food and power tariffs? I honestly don’t believe you live in the real world. My theory is that you bought property because you didn’t save and you’re attempting to use the rental income as a pension. ‘I’m alright Jack’ is an easy trap.

You used ‘feckless’ 5 times in that rant. I think that’s a new record for you. Your Daily Express/Daily Mail column awaits.

The ban on tenants on benefits negatively affects the disabled. It should never have been allowed.

Paul has confused me, yet again. He claims that if rent isn’t paid, he cannot make a mortgage payment. However, he also claims that if something like Coronavirus comes along and there is an unexpected loss in earnings for a tenant, that’s their own fault and they should have saved. Why hasn’t Paul saved? In the long run, landlords like him will gain a bad reputation and people like me, who understand that bad things can happen to people, will reap the benefits.

How do you define the quality of tentants? The class of the inhabitant? You always seem to complain that one month of missed rent would leave you unable to pay your mortgage. To use your words, have you not heard of saving for a rainy day? You strike me as being rather reckless.

I honestly think that you are a terrible person and you give us all a bad name. Do you ever eat at restaurants? Do you think, ‘I appreciate their service but they are not good enough to live in one of my properties’? To be in a necessary but unstable job is not to be feckless. People have to do these jobs, perhaps you should all your Daily Mail ire at the employers.
