Good idea, let's create a register of rouge tenants too. I think it is a bigger issue

Ask tenant to put share in the initial deposit and going forward share in maintenance and tax payments . Also would be nice if tenant also pay a percentage of mortgage on top of rent. I will be more than happy to share Capital gains . Also next time I book a hotel I will ask them to give me a share in there profit too

The problem stems from people/ government not willing to accept BTL as a business. They actually see BTL as an alternative to Social housing and wonder why landlord wants to evict tenant and destroy their normal life. My argument is always simple, can Tesco give me basic essentials free or at subsidy? Afterall food is as important as housing. Just learn to adjust with this mindset and carryon

It's a simple maths. Number of votes counts. There are more tenants than Landlords so politicians are after tenants votes in short term and are short sighted

Council called me and said after S21 expired...by the way so you know you can not evict tenant until and unless Bailiffs arrive. We will help tenant afterwards but you need to apply to court! I asked them to provide this in writing and waiting till today. Tenant informed me that council lady asked them to stay put if they leave earlier then council will treat them voluntarily homeless and will not be able to help...proper non sense and corrupt practice by Council

It will help, if government just ask LL for keys of their properties. Too much micro management.

Fedup with all this defensive approach in the face of aggression from these so called renters group. Majority of tenants and Landlords are responsible .these groups have their own hidden agendas perhaps envy those who are not renting

David, everyone has a right to Express views. But I think the comment made by Paul is not available to which I responded. Let's move on and feel happy that criminal was rightly punished and it will go some way to restore trust in majority of the law abiding LLs.

Paul Barrett, I agree to disagree. You may have a reason behind your views which I find unreasonable. However, calling me a part of problem without knowing me is sufficient for me to make my own opinion about yourself. Please refrain and stop being so judgemental.

This is borderline bad taste that conversation is going toward non British names. The issue is a criminal was caught and punished and this time happened to be with " non British " name I say non English name. Anyways , I rest my case.

Let's go tesco and get free groceries for 12 months. No one should stock food when there are so many can't feed families. LL are running a business like anyother business. Govt is trying to offload social housing responsibility to private Landlords Is he lord McDonald?
