my expertise in the industry
My industry expertise spans buildings and process industries. I spent 22 year leading research into efficient use of energy by industry. This was followed by a period with the Building Research Establishment managing the Non-domestic part of the Energy Efficiency Best Practice Programme. My section was responsible for issuing good practice guides for all types of public and private sector buildings. Since 1999 I have been director of Colin Lillicrap Associates providing the services describe above. I have worked with architects and M& E consultants advising on compliance with Part L. Most recently I have carried out ESOS audits for large organisations and made recommendations for improvements. I also set up and ran a training company training Energy Assessors and have run courses on how to account for all energy used in buildings.
