In an article on LAT on July 26, we wrongly stated that Brandon Weston had been due to face a trial on fraud charges on July 18.
We are now aware that Brandon Weston was not due to stand trial on that date, or at any other time. Instead he faces a sentencing hearing on four other charges. We apologise for the error.
We also wrongly stated that accountant David Christopher Williams had admitted eight charges of fraud or conspiracy to defraud. In fact, he has admitted three charges of forgery and denies the fraud charges, which are not expected to be proceeded with by the Crown Prosecution Service. The error was due to information supplied.
