Free briefing sessions about energy efficiency are being offered to landlords’ forums.

National Energy Action, a charity, is offering the sessions to encourage landlords to improve energy efficiency standards in the private rented sector.

Briefing sessions are available to all landlords’ forums in England.

Each briefing session will last about 20 minutes plus time for discussion and will include:

*Financial incentives for energy efficiency improvement measures
*The forthcoming Green Deal and the Energy Company Obligation: what this could mean for landlords and tenants
*An overview of cold hazards and related responsibilities
*Energy Performance Certificates and  mandatory minimum energy efficiency standards
*Simple, no cost/low cost measures to help tenants.

All landlords attending will receive two subsequent email bulletins from NEA on relevant policy and energy efficiency programme developments that arise in the year.

For further details about the briefing sessions contact Rebecca Jones at NEA on 020 7250 8321 / 07738 417448 or email rebecca.jones@nea.org.uk
