A free conference for private landlords is being held at Walsall Football stadium on Wednesday 30 October.

The event is being run by the West Midlands Housing group, specifically under the West Midlands Buy Under Best Use of Stock (WMBUS) partnership. The conference is open to all private landlords in the West Midlands region – Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall, and Wolverhampton – and provides a good opportunity to discuss pressures within the sector.

The Residential Landlords Association (RLA) will be in attendance, with a stand for anyone interested in talking to representatives about the RLA’s products and services. Additionally, RLA trainer Dave Princep will be delivering a seminar.

Public services, such as police and fire services will also be at the conference and there will be stalls for groups such as UK Border Agency; Gas Safe; relevant local authorities; water boards and a rent valuation team.

Workshop topics such as welfare reform; safety and security in HMO’s; empty properties; landlord accreditation, and many other subjects will be discussed in the various workshops/seminars on offer.
