Goodlord has today announced an exclusive partnership with leading insurance provider DAS UK Insurance, offering customers a new rent and legal protection policy.
As part of this collaboration, the property technology firm is evolving its platform to include a new automated claims process, designed to remove the administration and stress from insurance claims.
The new policy, which is available to all customers, covers rent paid in full should the tenant fall into arrears, property damage cover, eviction of tenants or squatters along with legal proceedings, while 75% of the rent will be paid after vacant possession for up to two months.
In addition, there will be legal expenses coverage of up to £100,000, contract dispute protection, as well as 24/7 support for agents and landlords via legal advice helpline.
Oli Sherlock, head of insurance at Goodlord, commented: “We want to offer Goodlord customers the best insurance provision on the market.
“DAS Insurance offers exceptional policy provisions and they understood our goal to simplify and improve the claims process. It was therefore a no brainer to enter into this exclusive partnership with DAS and update our insurance offering across the Goodlord eco-system.”
As part of Goodlord’s new automated claims process, communications to landlords will now be automated through the Goodlord platform, meaning landlords are automatically made aware when a policy is in place, how it works, and the details of the claims process.
Mickey Attia, head of new business at DAS, said: “We’re excited by this exclusive partnership with Goodlord, through which we will provide letting agents and landlords with ground-breaking policies, protecting their investments and reducing the hassle that can be associated with claims.
“We strongly believe in the Goodlord platform and the unique capabilities it offers to revolutionise the fulfilment of claims – this is a very significant launch.”
