Leasing and legal affairs to be discussed at Landlord teach-in

Another council has set up an advice session for private rental landlords in the area.

This even will take place at Neath Civic Centre on March 19 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

Attendees will hear expert advice and guidance on handling issues such as damp and mould. Additionally, the event will provide information on Leasing Scheme Wales, a programme to enable landlords to lease their property to the council for guaranteed rent payments spanning between five and 20 years.

Speakers from the National Residential Landlords Association, Rent Smart Wales, and Neath Port Talbot council will be present to share their expertise.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with other landlords and engage directly with the guest speakers.

Councillor Alun Llewelyn, Cabinet Member for Housing & Community Safety, comments: "The Private Rented Landlord Event is an opportunity for landlords to find out about how they can access essential information and resources that could be of real benefit to them. We know that private landlords play a fundamental role in the local housing sector and we are keen to work closely with them.”

The event is for established landlords who may have a portfolio of properties, newly established landlords and accidental landlords

To secure a space at the event, please contact Tia Montgomery, Business Assistant, at t.montgomery@npt.gov.uk.

Council Leasing Schemes, and more generally councils. They can be trusted and ofcourse have a huge unblemished record of supporting, defending and encouraging the PRS.
I feel like a bit of humour this morning🤩

I would not trust any councils with a barge pole. Good humour from AJR. Need to be humorous. Currently selling properties is the best policy for most LL's, especially the ones who had properties for more than 10 years or are in their 60's or over. Too much stress, everyone can do without.

Yes Viha I am over 60 owning properties for more than 10 years and I am selling up. Unfortunately it takes time but have started the process.
