Insights and Advice event for buy to let landlords

The ESPC property portal has announced a free buy to let Insights and Advice event on Thursday May 9, for aspiring property investors and current landlords.

The event will be held at ESPC’s Property Information Centre in Edinburgh and will allow those thinking about beginning a property portfolio, or expanding their current portfolio, to have their most pressing questions answered by a panel of property experts.

Free to attend, the event will take place between 6pm and 7.30pm and attendees will be able to speak to an array of experts, to receive tailored advice to their queries and quandaries about Edinburgh’s rental market and becoming a landlord.

The event will include an overview of the current rental sector, as well as an interactive Q&A session where attendees can ask the professional panel any burning questions about property investment. This will then be followed by the opportunity to access tailored guidance from the panel, with one-to-one, personalised sessions available following the main session.

Experts in attendance will include Head of ESPC Lettings Nicky Lloyd and ESPC Mortgages advisor Paul Demarco. They’ll be joined by property experts Rosanne Ogden of RD Legal and Mary McQueen from McDougall McQueen, and tax experts Kate MacDonald and Kerry MacBeth from RSM UK.

Lloyd says: “Following on from a hugely challenging few years in the Scottish rental market, we know that current and aspiring landlords alike want to know more about what’s happening in the sector, as well as what they can expect to see in years to come. With ever-changing legislation, a well-documented housing shortage and a changeable property market, we understand that for those looking to jump into the world of property investment, it can be hard to know where to begin.”

Limited spaces are available for the event, so those interested in attending should RSVP at espc.com/events. Confirm your attendance here: https://espc.com/services/events/event/property-investment-event

Hmm but I wouldn’t want to invest anywheres north of the border. With its laws and rules. Like rent control. Hope they stay north as well. So no wonder they wish to attract LLords.

Desperate times apparently for tenants who have nowhere to rent …. Who’s fault is that I wonder?

    It appears it’s ours 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Aspiring landlords?? Ha ha... Bet there's loads of them in Scotland... Not! As a landlord in Scotland my advice would be... don't touch it with a barge pole and if you're already in it.... Get out whilst you still can!

Scotlands rental sector has been bludgeoned by an inept SNP and the trauma compounded by a deluded Green Party.
If I were in Scotland I would sell now.
Don’t let them lock you in!
