Co-living rental brand launches third property project

A co-living brand called Folk is launching its third site in the capital, Florence Dock in Battersea.

The building, which already has a waiting list of 2,000 people, is open for renters to move in from next month.

It will feature multiple roof terraces, a co-working space, community kitchens, a gym, cinema room, gaming room, lounge and on-site bar.

Folk’s existing premises are in Harrow and Earlsfield. The new building will have 270 units and be let for prices from £1,695 per calendar month for a studio.

Paul Naylor, Folk general manager, says: “The launch of Florence Dock in Battersea is an exciting next step in Folk’s journey as we continue to offer hassle-free co-living in London.

“As our brand has grown rapidly over the past year, we’ve been able to hone our offering, take all the best bits of co-living and combine them with state-of-the-art design and innovative technology to launch Florence Dock.

“We’ve balanced the indoor and outdoor spaces perfectly by working with architects and positioning the building riverside, and we are really excited for our first residents to sign up and move in.”

£1695 for a studio - says everything I need to know about living in London!

£1695 per month for a studio says about all I need to know. This is not going to be housing all the families left looking for a home due to the shortage of rental properties. I don't expect local housing allowance will cover that!

Emily course not but the illegal immigrants will fill them - paid for by the government- or the tax payers money. Like the hotels etc.

I'm not sure that's true Dave. Illegals are now in 5 star accommodation. I hear the Home Office is comandeering Claridges, The Ritz and The Savoy to house them. Tax payers will be left paying AGAIN to house themselves in the Travelodge.

Nice 🤔🤔 but as said above I doubt Wayne & Wynette……… newly evicted after their landlord has sold up will be in this firms demographic 😂😂

I read on the web that bills are included.
Also "high spec community kitchens, a gym, cinema room, gaming room, lounge and on-site bar for residents".
Wouldn't fancy community kitchens. In my experience of similar: always left in a mess.

Agree above comments about not for families, not even single parents with one child.
Web doesn't mention pets, which we LLDs are encouraged to allow; and some of my tenants have/had.
