Webinar on Renters Reform Bill aims to woo landlords

An agency that already runs a series of webinars for landlords is to hold a special one dedicated to explaining the pros and cons of the Renters Reform Bill.

Emma Foreman, who runs the lettings department at Complete Estate Agents in Devon, is hosting the event on July 4 at 7.30pm.

It’s titled ‘The Renters Reform Bill – Proposing a Revolutionary Change to The Private Rented Sector’ and is open to all landlords, is free to join, and will look into the proposals, what landlords need to prepare for and how it will change the landscape of the lettings industry.

She says: “The Bill proposes some revolutionary changes to the lettings industry and your occupation as a landlord, so it is important that every landlord understands its proposals and how they can prepare for action.

“When the [government’s] White Paper was first released in February 2022, there were 12 Action Points set out to achieve ‘A Fairer Private Rented Sector’. Not all of these 12 points are included within the released Bill, but we will still see the end of Assured Shorthold Tenancies and Section 21 notices, which are potentially the two biggest changes for landlords.”

You can register you place for the webinar here: https://www.completeproperty.co.uk/landlord-webinars/

Foreman has a series of 16 past webinars for landlords including legislation round ups, damp, and mould in your rental property, reducing your tax and Capital Gains Tax liabilities and many more. You can find them here: www.completeproperty.co.uk/landlord-webinars.

There will probably be a lot of changes before it hits the statute books so this may count as wasted time atm.

They have removed the very foundation AST & 21 what is there to talk about.
Good luck on the 4th if you get any gom to listen.
By the way that’s the day of Landlord Investment Show, Billingsgate, London, all your top brass about letting, buying, selling, insurance’s, landlords Associations, NRLA, iHowz, Agents, Mortgage’s etc etc they will all be there by London Bridge free entry if you fancy a day out or drag yourself away from repairing the damage your Tenants done.
I wonder why it’s called Independence Day certainly no independence allowed here.

If this aims to be some kind of attempt to reassure the LL community it will fail.
We know the damage has already been done and that rent caps and eviction bans are just down ‘homelessness road’. The RRB is a crippling assault on the PRS and there’s no denying the fact.

Woo 💄 they say 😂😂, they won’t have a chance with me unless Elizabeth Hurley does the Woo’ing 😍. How desperate are they, this bill is a disaster.

  • Peter Why Do I Bother

Half ten at night in the UAE so no chance of gaining my attention for something that has not even passed a second reading. Also while I appreciate people like this trying to help where’s Beadle???

Think I am becoming obsessed with NRLA’s inactivity..! 😉

The Bill proposes some Revolutionary Changes to the Lettings Industry .
No its turning the Clock back to the 1980 Prior to AST.

Do they really expect to convince Landlords that donating their Properties to their Tenants for life is good for them ?
