The University of Dundee and letting agents’ body Propertymark want to understand more about the future plans of landlords.
This is happening via a survey on whether landlords will retain their property investments, increase investment or withdraw from the sector and why.
All respondents will be offered the opportunity to be entered into a prize draw to win one of five £100 Amazon vouchers.
A statement from the university says: “With recent changes, including the tenant fee ban, ‘section 24’ tax rules, minimum energy efficiency standards, changes to capital gains tax rules, higher rates on stamp duty, an eviction ban during Covid, patchy funding for energy efficiency improvements, and upcoming renters’ reform, landlords have been given many reasons to consider their continued investment in the Private Rented Sector.
“At the same time, pressure on rents has increased incomes and house price growth has driven strong capital returns.”

Look on the bright side - if you can actually find the survey, then you may stand quite a good chance of winning an Amazon voucher - only a very few people will find the survey

I can tell you that the link is for University of Durham if you shorten that it is UOD
do not leave a gap
then put "school of business" then the usual full stop demarker and then the word qualtrics and another demarker and then the word commercial shortened to the first three letters
Following that is a forward oblique and the word jfe
then another forward oblique and the word form and another forward oblique and the lettersSV
Then you put an underscore and the following efHhuY9ZTdlYOii

I managed to do the survey. I also contacted landlord today asking them to include the link.
Might be worth putting on Property Tribes and Property 118 forums as well
It’s another fake Survey designed to exclude the majority of landlords we have a Business to run not time for messing about with your stupid difficult to do Surveys.
YOu may well be right Michael - and in the past I hope you know that I agree with much of what you say....but the NRLA are doing us few favours - I look at any opportunity to get our points across as just that - an opportunity however small. It only took me a couple of minutes and I got to add comments about S21 and the effect it will have. Surely it is worth us all having a punt just to get our point across??
If its a business school then it will be very obvious that it's a hostile environment to invest in and loss of tax relief makes it impossible to run it as a business. At the same time draconian fines will be imposed if you house illegal immigrants, but according to the BBC et al they are all migrants and asylum seekers.
