The measures announced at the October 28 Budget – the first for Andy Burnham’s government – is to be analysed at a forum in early November.
Landlords, letting agents and anyone involved in letting property is invited to register for the free Rent Smart Devon event at Exeter Racecourse on November 3.
The free event, organised by Exeter’s Labour-led council, brings together property specialists, support organisations and expert speakers.
Doors open at 2pm for networking, with presentations beginning at 3pm.
Four bite-sized sessions will provide practical insight into current issues for landlords and property professionals. The programme will include:
- The Renters’ Rights Act in Action – Emma Foreman, Complete Property;
- HHSRS and the Decent Homes Standard – Tim Thomas, Propertymark;
- RRA – Labour’s best Act so far or a wondrous own goal? – Phil Keddie, Sunshine Rentals Ltd;
- Bricks and the Budget: What it means for landlords – Debbie Franklin, Peplows.
More than 20 trade stands have so far signed up.
