Private landlords are invited to a free drop-in session for practical advice on changes to renting rules.

Malvern Hills council is holding the session at the Council House in Great Malvern on Wednesday October 14, giving landlords the chance to speak directly to the private sector housing team directly.

The team can help with questions about the Renters’ Rights Act, the new ‘Register your rental property’ service, legislative changes, HMO licensing requirements, property standards and HHSRS 2, and managing their properties successfully.

The informal event is designed to help landlords understand what has changed, what action they may need to take and where to find further support.

A council spokesperson says: “We are keen to support private landlords in our district with the changes to the renting rules and make sure they have access to clear, practical advice.

“These drop-in sessions are a chance to speak to our officers in a relaxed setting, without needing to book an appointment. I would encourage landlords to come along, ask questions, and make sure they have the information they need.”
