The National Landlords Association has a new chief executive officer, Richard Lambert, who started work there yesterday.

He moved to the NLA after nine years as the chief executive of the British Woodworking Federation. Prior to this he worked as policy director at the British Property Federation and as a parliamentary civil servant.

Lambert said: “I'm hugely impressed at the way in which the NLA has built itself into a respected national organisation and developed a reputation as a credible and effective representative voice for landlords letting private residential property.

“I’m looking forward to taking this even further by ensuring that the NLA continues to work for its members, while seeking a coherent policy for the private rented sector from the Government.”
