Skipton International has announced changes to its UK buy to let lending criteria.

The lender has increased its maximum loan-to-value (LTV) for Limited Company (SPV) mortgages to 75%, expanding the options available to landlords looking to purchase or refinance property through a limited company.

It has also reduced its minimum loan size to £100,000across both its UK BTL and Limited Company (SPV) lending ranges.

A spokesperson says: “We’re always looking at where we can give brokers greater flexibility and more options for their clients. Increasing our maximum SPV LTV to 75% and reducing our minimum loan size to £100,000 means our proposition can support a broader range of buy-to-let borrowing requirements.

“Limited company lending continues to be an important part of the buy-to-let market.

“Brokers are dealing with clients with increasingly varied borrowing requirements, so continuing to evolve our criteria is important. These changes give intermediaries another option when finding the right solution for their clients.”
